Depends on the setting, one that worked amazingly was in a bar talking with a group of mates and a girl I'd never met before. I'd said something and she muttered something in disagreement. I then shouted

"That's it, we're getting a divorce!"

We then decided to get to know each other better before getting divorced

One of the usual urban myth ones his "here is 10p phone your folks and tell them u won't be home!", lot of bull though. Can never understand anyone who fancies someone and stands in the corner of the bar all night looking thinking of chat up lines, freaking go over, whats the worst that can happen, a knockback ? so ! move on! complement her on her dress/hair/etc and then just be normal and chat

so why do u not get chatted up do you think ? are u unapproachable in a bar ? or do you go out looking to get chatted up ? if so, drop that, dance the night away and u will get lucky at the end of the night, the worst thing for girls is standing looking for blokes, defo turn off
